Lot includes 1957 Sohio Gas Cleveland Indians picture premiums accompanied by the original album designed to house the photos. Issued as promotional vehicle for Standard Oil of Ohio service stations, each premium measures approximately 5 x 7 inches and features popular Indians team members in action poses. Roger Maris is the key to the set as it is an early item from his spectacular career. All pictures are glued to the album page with exception to the following six players: Avila, Carrasquel, Garcia, Nixon, Smith, and Wertz. The following grades are given without reference to this characteristic. Condition ranges from Gd to Nr/Mt (averaging Vg-Ex), with a couple lesser. This complete set consists of the following: Bobby Avila, Jim Busby, Chico Carrasquel, Rocky Colavito (Gd), Mike Garcia, Jim Hegan, Bob Lemon (Gd), Roger Maris (Vg+), Don Mossi, Ray Narleski, Russ Nixon, Herb Score, Al Smith, George Strickland, Bob Usher, Vic Wertz, Gene Woodling, and Early Wynn (Pr-Fr). The original album presents in Fair condition, showing considerable wear, soiling, creasing, paper loss, and pen markings on the inside cover.
