The Gateway Stamp Company produced this commemorative first day cover to recognize an event or milestone achieved by player depicted. They covers were only issued autographed and bear a postmark from the city in which the honored event took place. All of the first day covers in this auction were purchased directly from Gateway by the consignor shortly after their issuance and are guaranteed to pass authentication by PSA/DNA or JSA. This cover is postmarked in Dallas and marks Robinson's accomplishment of being the winningest coach in college football history. Robinson died in 2007.
